This site has been constructed using web standards as of 7/1/2010. It will be continuosly updated to keep with the highest standards of the web to keep usability up as well as ease of use from one coder to another. It's been made using XHTML 1.0 transitional code and is
Usability
Flash and Javascript will not be used on this site to ease the use for my family and friends. I'd like them to be able to access the site through many different platforms and with many different browsers. In combing each page for defects as well as using web standards that are enhanced by many of the subjects of usability in "Don't Make Me Think", I'll have a page that has an intuitive interface for people to navigate and find exactly what their looking for without thinking too much or spending time looking around, rather than enjoying the content.
SEO
My site has not been properly optimized for search engines. My two main purposes for this site are to share fun and interesting things with my family, and to fulfill a class objective. If I were to optimize it for such a thing I would place applicable alt tags in each of my photos. My pages URL will be named accordingly. And everything within each web page will be applicable content that is generalized by my page title.
ROI
My Return On Investment will be landing some sort of job from what potential employers see on my website. They'll see what I've been able to make from the ground up, and upkeep it with a high efficiency.
